புகையிலையால் நுரையீரல் புற்றுநோயால் உலகம் முழுவதும் கடந்த 5 ஆண்டுகளுக்கு முன்பு 18 லட்சம் பேர் பாதிக்கப்பட்டதாக உலக சுகாதார நிறுவனம் தெரிவித்திருந்த நிலையில், தற்போது இதன் பாதிப்பு பல மடங்காக பெருகி இருப்பதாக அதிர்ச்சி தகவலை வெளியிட்டு உள்ளது. உலகளவில் இந்நோய் பரவியிருந்தாலும் பாதிக்கப்பட்டோரில் 58% வளரும் நாடுகளில்தான் உள்ளனர்.

International Nurses Day is celebrated around the world every May 12, the anniversary of Florence Nightingale’s birth.

In view of Women’s Day on March 8th,2020, FREE CANCER SCREENING CAMP was conducted in association in and at Jain Hospital, Melakottaiyur. Serving to out women is one of the prime awareness motto of our trust Rosegarden.
We thank the association members/organizers for making this happen. Numerous women got themselves checked on this day.

March 8th being acknowledged as International Women’s Day, we are marching with full energy as usual to reach out to the women especially on this very special day. A general open meet was organized for the very first time in Trichy under the title ” on March 8th,2020. Dr P Sasipriya was invited to be a part of it, there was a open discussion among the participants who were ignorant about causes and symptoms of cancer.

It gives our team immense pleasure to spread awareness. And this moment is one step closer, we are reaching out to the Nurses/Paramedics, who are more close in contact with the patients.
In association with Indian Medical Association, Kulithalai, Dr G Govindaraj (Surgical Oncologist) from Harshamitra handles a awareness session to the nurses. This event is happening today at Government Higher Secondary School,Lallapettai, in view of World Cancer Day – 2020.
Free PAP Smear screening is also being done for around 70 to 80 women. This test detects the presence of Cervix Cancer.
We thank the Indian Medical Association and Public Health And Preventive Medicine Department for giving us this wonderful chance to interact with the nurses/paramedics.
Reaching out to the younger generation is the most and effective way of spreading a message. We take immense steps to reach out to the students – both Schools and Colleges around the year, because we strongly believe that these budding gems are going to be the shinning gems in their near future.

For more than 10years, our Managing Trustee Dr Sasipriya Govindaraj and Dr G Govindaraj are involved on social works by establishing free cancer awareness camps and free cancer check up camps for general public.
One such was conducted at Vaikowins Muslim Higher Secondary School, EB Road, Trichy on 24.01.2020. Prizes were distributed too.
